Covid-19 Update

With the ongoing situation with Coronavirus, here at Salon Fittings Limited we have made extensive changes to the way we work. We have considerably reduced our workforce in our warehouse and have strict measures in place to follow all government guidelines. The safety of our employees and customers is paramount and we are taking every measure to ensure we can operate as best as possible. Definitions

In these terms and conditions ´The Seller´ means Salon Fittings Limited Ltd and ´The Buyer´ means the purchaser of goods from ´The Seller´ under these terms and conditions.

Trade Only

Salon Fittings Limited operates exclusively as a wholesaler, it does not sell directly to the General Public. It does not deal with Consumer Sales. All sales are to the Trade. By placing an order with Salon Fittings Limited you are confirming that you are not a Consumer for the purposes of the Consumer Credit legislation and for the Purposes of Sale of Goods legislation and that you are in business and purchasing the goods for the purpose of that business and not for personal use. All products sold on this website are intended for those qualified in the hairdressing or beauty trade and are for sale on a trade only basis. Customers should be qualified to use the products sold on this website. Goods are sold on the understanding that they will be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by The Seller, for trained or untrained personnel without qualified supervision using or mis-using equipment supplied by The Seller. If you are a business customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using and we reserve the right to ask you for proof of professional status.

Prices

Prices and special offers are correct at the time of goods being displayed on the website but are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are exclusive of VAT at the ruling rates and delivery costs. VAT is not charged on educational books. It is possible that some of the products in our catalogue may be mis-priced.

We will verify pricing when processing your order and before we take payment. If we have made a mistake and a product's correct price is higher than the price on the website, we may either contact you before shipping to request whether you want to buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order. If a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product.

Delivery charges outside mainland UK will be verified when processing your order. If we have made a mistake and the delivery charge is higher than the price quoted on the website, we may contact you before shipping to request whether you want to continue with your purchase at the correct delivery charge or cancel your order.

Overdue Accounts

After 40 days a surcharge of 4% of the gross amount will be levied on a daily basis.

Payment

Payment is due in full prior to dispatch of goods if a credit arrangement is not agreed beforehand. Payment is due 30 days from the date of invoice where a credit agreement exists.

Please note, delivery addresses cannot be changed on an order by a customer once payment has been taken. We are unable to change your delivery address on orders paid by PayPal. If you wish to make amendments to your delivery once an order has been made, please speak to a member of our Customer Service Team.

Returned Goods

If goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected:
Please contact our Customer Services Department on 0844 846 1777 to request a returns authorisation number. Please note, goods must be returned within 7 days of the returns reference being issued.

If goods have been ordered in error or are unsuitable:
The Buyer must pay for the return postage.
The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. Goods must be returned within 14 days of receipt, unused, in perfect condition and sent back in it´s original packaging.

If items are returned as unsuitable:
The Buyer will only be entitled to a refund on the item purchased and not the original postage paid. This process can take between 7-10 days to complete and for a refund to be issued.

Carriage for any alternative items is to be paid for by The Buyer. The Seller accepts no responsibility for items lost in transit. It is recommended that a receipt of posting is obtained and it is the Buyers responsibility to ensure adequate insurance is purchased to cover the items being returned.

Any faulty items which are still under the manufacturer’s warranty must be reported and sent back for inspection, once the goods are received back we will determine whether the item(s) can be repaired, if this is not the case then a replacement will be issued. If we are unable to either repair or replace the item(s) then a full or partial refund may be issued. This process can take between 10-14 days, there are exceptions to this policy due to hygiene reasons - see exclusions.

Our warranties run from the initial date of purchase, if we have made the decision to replace a product that is still under warranty then this does not mean that you receive a new warranty when you receive a replacement. In essence the contract that you make at the time of sale, which includes the warranty, is formed at the time when you paid the money. Issuing a replacement is something that occurs under the original agreement and it does not mean that you receive a new warranty. Therefore, it is important to be aware that your original warranty will expire on the original purchase, rather than the clock being re-set on the warranty at the time when your item is replaced.

Refunds on large/heavy items will be subject to a minimum 10% handling charge.

Items received with broken seals will incur a 10% handling fee and those without original packaging will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

Collections for unsuitable items will be subject to a minimum 10% handling charge. Collection of goods with a value of £50.00 or less and parcels returned to sender will be subject to a minimum charge of £5.00 per parcel.

Exclusions:

  • Porcelain basins and glassware e.g. mirrors & jars are non returnable.
  • All furniture which has been made to special order cannot be returned.
  • All REM furniture is non returnable.
  • Items that are sent direct from the manufacturer are non returnable if they are unsuitable. This does not affect your statutory rights. For more information please contact Customer Services.
  • Due to strict hygiene regulations, the Seller cannot accept returns of items such as scissors, clippers, razors, manicure or pedicure implements, tweezers and electrolysis needles which have been used. (This list is not exhaustive).
  • Goods returned damaged due to poor packaging will not entitle The Buyer to a full credit/refund. Your Statutory Rights are not affected.

Shortages & Damages

Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims for shortages or damages must be reported to The Seller within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

Delivery Charges

£4.95 plus VAT is the standard delivery charge for most parts of mainland UK. The Channel Islands, Offshore islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Special delivery charges will be quoted on request. This excludes any large or heavy items. Orders placed online over £75, excluding VAT, to most parts of mainland UK qualify for free delivery. Free delivery over £75 does not apply to orders where a promotional discount has been applied.

Delivery

The Seller's policy is to despatch goods within 24 hours of receiving an order, however this can vary subject to stock availability. Times quoted are in good faith, but shall not be binding. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery. Some furniture orders may take up to 6-8 weeks for delivery, or up to 14 weeks for special order items. Extra handling charge may be incurred for re-despatched parcels.

Salon Fittings Limited is not liable for delayed, missing or damaged parcels/contents if a delivery signature has not been obtained where the parcel has been left in a designated safe place at your request . If you choose to have your order delivered to a location you deem as ‘safe’ then the liability transfers to you.

Free delivery over £75:
Orders must be over £75 (excluding VAT and placed online) to qualify, otherwise £4.95 (plus VAT) is the standard delivery charge to most parts of mainland UK. Only valid on orders within mainland UK and excludes large or heavy items. The Channel Islands, Offshore Islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Does not apply to orders where an offer code has been used, unless stated otherwise. If orders are received, completed and payment has been taken before 4pm GMT between Tuesday and Thursday, we aim to deliver the next working day. Next day delivery is available to most parts of mainland UK only and only applies to items that are in stock. Does not apply to items sent direct from supplier, or large or heavy items.

Next Day Delivery

If orders are received, fully completed and payment taken before 4pm GMT between Tuesday to Thursday, we aim to deliver them the next working day. Dispatch times can vary depending on stock availability and any guarantees made as to delivery times are subject to any delays that can result from transport delays or force majeure, for which we will not be held responsible. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery.

Next day delivery only applies to items that are in stock. Does not apply to items that are sent direct from our supplier, or large or heavy items. Next day delivery is only available to mainland UK. Some areas of the UK cannot receive Next Day Delivery - contact Customer Services for more information. Orders placed for next day delivery the day before a bank holiday will receive their order on the next working day. Please note, we cannot guarantee Next Day Delivery following a Bank Holiday Weekend.

Large and Heavy Items

Please ask for carriage charges on the following items: porcelain basins, washpoints, hydraulic chairs, barbers chairs, portable, hydraulic and electric couches, large chairs, nail stations, reception desks and other large furniture items. This list is not exhaustive.

Any furniture ordered will be delivered to front door and ground floor premises only, as drivers are not insured to take upstairs or inside of premises.

We advise that tradesmen who are booked to install items should only be arranged once in receipt of the goods.

Overseas Orders

Please note, that all electrical items are supplied with a UK 3 pin plug as standard.

We welcome orders from around the world. Carriage charges will vary depending on destination and weight of parcel.

Customs For Overseas Orders

When ordering goods from Salon Fittings Limited for delivery outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods reach the specified destination. Any additional charges for Customs clearance must be paid by you; Salon Fittings Limited has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you are ordering goods from outside the United Kingdom, it is your responsibility to comply with all the laws and regulations in the country in which you are receiving the goods.

If you refuse to pay the charges levied by customs and excise, or the delivery is unsuccessful and the goods are returned to us then you will be liable for the return shipment fees and these will be deducted from any refund due. As from 1st January 2021 there may be additional customs fees to pay for customers within the EU. These fees are levied by your local customs and must be paid directly to them in order for your goods to be released.

Please note all electrical items are supplied, as standard, with a UK 3 pronged plug.

Cancellations

Prior to despatch, non standard items such as furniture/special order items, cannot be cancelled. Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.

Product Availability

All products are subject to stock availability. If we have insufficient stock to fulfill the order, we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you. Stock is allocated on a first come first served basis once your order reaches our main server.

Force Majeure

Salon Fittings Limited shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.

General

All offers are subject to stock availability. The Seller reserves the right to restrict or refuse any order for application of credit at any time. The Seller takes special care to show correct sizes and specifications and such descriptions, whilst given as a guide, in good faith, are subject to alteration by The Seller without notice. All colours are as near as can be displayed on a computer monitor.

Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions and all contracts entered into under them are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales in relation to any contract entered into under these terms and conditions.

Retention of Title Clause

The risk in all goods passes to The Buyer upon delivery but title in the goods remains vested in The Seller and shall only pass from The Seller to The Buyer upon full payment being made of all sums (due on whatsoever account or grounds) to The Seller.

The Buyer agrees, prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, The Seller or appointed agents may enter The Buyers premises to collect such goods should The Seller request. Prior to such payment, the Buyer shall keep the goods separate and identifiable for the purpose and return the goods to The Seller should The Seller request.
